VHP rally at Calcutta on Saturday

CALCUTTA:  The Vishwa Hindu Parishad  is organizing its rally on December 20 at Shahid Minarin which top leaders like Ashok Singhal, Praveen Togadia and Mohan Bhagwatare taking part.

Sachin Singha, organizing secretary of Kolkata zone said that VHP will bring out rallies from different parts of the city  and convergeat Shahid Minar. The processions will start from Hedua, Northern (Gaza) Park, Howrah and Sealdah stations. A crowd of about 40,000 is expected. He added that the VHP supporters from Kolkata and adjoining districts of Hooghly, Howrah along with Midnapore (east) and Midnapore (west) and North and South 24- Parganas will be there.

The issues will be  refugees from Bangladesh and increased terror activities in Bengal. Moreover, infiltration problem and change of topography in some of Bengal border districts will be raised by the VHP leaders.

Singha said that the meet is  part of the golden jubilee celebrations of VHP  held in 700 places in the country which are called Birat Hindu Sammelan, with the aim to focus — Hindus are one, irrespective of caste or state bias.
